He Said He said my magic was brown It was the bed of the earth I filled him with mirrors Better to see him I tasted him pliant on my tongue Better to eat him He became my sacrament He said I moved slow like lava I bled into his steps He heard his carrion Rising out of another dream

How Stone Remembers The memory of the stones are in the dead and hidden near the roots of trees. The stone remembers by telling on us our unwise ways. How we walk the earth like sullen gods disregarding deity ridden promises. The stone remembers but not like us holding grudges and peering into madness...

What The Dead Know You follow me faded dream after faded dream Your face was not your own perhaps you keep your secrets away from me Perhaps you want some part of me the freedom of being alive hand in hand lips to lips Like lovers do how they feign the loyalty of dogs they betray each other they always do But in the after life there is no pretending just the abyss, god and the cold living nothing

Bitter Sweet I don’t know the Sun but outside I have made a mess of things and the days have gone slow fleeting You should know I’d swallow You entirely and the wind is a formless deity We don’t know where a poem goes when its forgotten Perhaps like love it sleeps in the recesses of our soul And awakes in the boundaries of our pain.
